About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join HealthEdge’s Finance organization as a hands-on individual contributor. This role will report to the Tax, VP and own key aspects of U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance, reporting, and planning, while partnering closely with Finance, Legal, and external advisors. This position does not include direct people management but requires strong technical tax expertise, project ownership, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. About Centers of Excellence (COE) Centers of Excellence (COEs) provide deep functional expertise that supports the broader organization through best practices, governance, and specialized knowledge. At HealthEdge, COEs span Finance, Legal, HR, and IT, enabling the enterprise and product organizations to scale efficiently and compliantly.

Requirements

  • Strong technical tax knowledge with the ability to apply concepts in a practical business context
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and external advisors
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 6+ years of progressive tax experience (public accounting and/or corporate environment)
  • Solid understanding of U.S. federal and state income tax rules and ASC 740
  • Experience supporting audits and working with external tax firms
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite or similar ERP)

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or Master’s degree in Tax
  • Experience in a technology or SaaS environment
  • Exposure to international tax, transfer pricing, or indirect tax
  • Experience supporting M&A transactions or post-acquisition integration
  • Familiarity with tax provision software and automated compliance tools

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute U.S. federal, state, and local income tax compliance, including preparation, review, and coordination of returns with external tax advisors
  • Support international tax compliance, reporting, and planning as applicable, including transfer pricing and foreign filings
  • Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 with our external tax advisors
  • Partner with FP&A and Accounting to ensure accurate tax forecasting, effective tax rate analysis, and alignment with financial reporting
  • Support tax planning initiatives related to acquisitions, restructurings, and new business activities
  • Assist with indirect tax (sales and use, property, and excise) compliance and audits as needed
  • Own tax-related account reconciliations and documentation required for audits and internal controls
  • Monitor changes in tax law and assess impacts to the business; communicate implications clearly to stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Legal on entity management, intercompany agreements, and tax-related contractual matters
  • Support integration of newly acquired entities from a tax compliance and reporting perspective
  • Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and scalable controls as the company grows
  • Respond to tax authority inquiries and support audits with internal teams and external advisors
