About The Position

The A.C.Coy company has an immediate opening for a Tax Manager. Ideal candidates will have 6+ years of tax accounting experience including at least 1 years of supervisory experience working with both individual and corporate taxes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA, EA, or JD required
6-10 years of progressive tax accounting experience
1+ years of experience in a supervisory position with people development as a responsibility
Experience with SEC filings including Forms 10-K and 10-Q
Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Responsibilities

Lead tax engagements from planning through completion, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and high-quality service
Actively participate in and lead client meetings, planning sessions, and tax strategy discussions
Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and develop new business for the firm
Represent the firm through networking activities, referral sources, professional organizations, and community involvement
Stay current on tax law changes, industry trends, and economic factors impacting clients and the firm
Supervise, mentor, and coach seniors, staff, and interns, providing guidance and performance feedback
Manage and delegate governmental tax examinations and represent clients before taxing authorities as needed
Ensure all prepared returns comply with applicable tax laws, regulations, and firm standards
Communicate significant engagement developments to partners, including identified issues and recommended solutions
Evaluate staff skills and workloads to ensure assignments align with experience and qualifications
