About The Position
Overview Wolf is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing and well-established national firm. This partner-track position with unlimited growth potential requires a motivated, experienced tax professional with strong interpersonal and management skills. A successful candidate should possess expertise in individual and fiduciary income taxation and estate and gift tax. As a Tax Manager, your role will include the following responsibilities which are focused around two core concepts: your technical expertise and your ability to deliver excellent quality client service.
Requirements
- CPA or EA certification required with 6+ years tax experience
- Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence and tax research
- Ability to problem-solve and think both creatively and logically
- A demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines
- Outstanding leadership, mentoring and interpersonal skills fostering client and staff relationships
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to attract and develop profitable, sustainable client relationships
Responsibilities
- Interact closely with clients and advisors to provide innovative tax planning, consulting and compliance services in a timely and effective manner
- Manage and drive the success of multiple engagements in all facets of individual taxation
- Provide primary and secondary review of complex tax returns for individual and fiduciary clients
- Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing expectations, meeting deadlines and proactively sharing tax saving strategies
- Work closely with partners and staff on client management, professional development and business development activities
- Manage, develop, train and mentor staff including performance and engagement reviews
