About The Position

Albemarle Corporation, a global leader in specialty chemicals, is seeking a Tax Manager -Transfer Pricing to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role will be responsible for managing the company's global transfer pricing strategy, compliance, and documentation to ensure alignment with international tax regulations and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of transfer pricing principles, and experience in a multinational corporate tax environment.

Requirements

  • B.S./B.A. in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or master's in taxation preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in transfer pricing within a corporate tax department, public accounting firm, or consulting firm.
  • Broad-based experience in U.S. federal tax matters applicable to a U.S. based multi-national company.
  • Strong knowledge of OECD transfer pricing guidelines, U.S. tax regulations, and international tax principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
  • Ability to work independently on a day-to-day basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Knowledge of Excel required, as well as experience with other MS Office products.
  • Experience with financial modeling, benchmarking studies, and economic analysis.
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP S4 HANA preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with people from all areas of a multi-national business and from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure with strict time constraints.
  • Requires strong management skills, a team player and team leader.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Albemarle's global transfer pricing policies, ensuring compliance with U.S. and international tax regulations.
  • Lead the preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation, including local files, master files, and Country-by-Country (CbC) reporting.
  • Conduct economic and financial analyses to support intercompany pricing policies and transactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, and Operations, to align transfer pricing strategies with business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in transfer pricing regulations and provide guidance on their potential impact on the company.
  • Manage transfer pricing audits and disputes, working closely with external advisors and tax authorities.
  • Support tax planning initiatives, business restructurings, and M&A activities from a transfer pricing perspective.
  • Assist with transfer pricing risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on transfer pricing policies and compliance requirements.
  • Draft and maintain intercompany agreements.
  • Review transfer pricing related deliverables to support quarterly and year-end tax provision compliance requirements.
  • Lead effort to develop process efficiency improvements for transfer pricing administration.
  • Supervising assignments of engagement staff, and providing leadership, counseling, and training to Consultants and Senior Consultants.
