About The Position

As a Manager in our Tax service line at HCVT, you will be responsible for a range of tasks that include proficiently handling the taxation of partnerships, limited liability companies, and other similar flow-through entities. You will need to be knowledgeable in the area of private equity or real estate, and hold a CPA or JD license. Your role will involve researching complex tax issues, ensuring the quality of work products, monitoring workflow, and coaching or mentoring individual team members. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing business with both existing and new clients, maintaining strong client relationships, advising clients on income tax issues and related tax planning, and attending applicable trainings and conferences. Management responsibilities will also include firm administrative functions such as client billings.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree; Master's degree a plus
  • CPA certificate
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to identify and propose resolutions to complex income tax issues
  • Demonstrated advanced project management skills
  • Ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service
  • Excellent research skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to articulate complex tax matters in 'business' language
  • Ability to integrate and team with others
  • Thorough understanding of both accounting and income tax compliance issues associated with private equity
  • Ability to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced and complex environment
  • Strong team player with emphasis on the continued growth and development of team members
  • Excellent analytical skills and judgment
