Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and property tax compliance software such as PTMS.
  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP, JDE, and PeopleSoft.
  • Ability to analyze and review large data sets in Excel and other mediums.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PTMS tax software.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • CMI or other professional designation.
  • Proficiency in automation tools and data analytics techniques such as SQL, Power BI, and Tableau.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, conduct, and review multi-state/national business personal property tax compliance using PTMS tax software.
  • Organize and maintain accurate record-keeping of filed tax returns and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with data gathering from ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, and JDE.
  • Reconcile balance sheets and income statements to the general ledger.
  • Reconcile property tax accrual and expense accounts.
  • Prepare data for review prior to uploading into PTMS for compliance purposes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of PTMS tax software upgrades and enhancements.
  • Review valuation and assessments to recommend appeals for business personal property.
  • Ensure tax compliance of assigned portfolio by reviewing tax returns and bills.
  • Assist with complex valuation projects to identify tax savings opportunities.
  • Support tax technology needs related to compliance, reporting, analytics, and controls.
