This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead tax strategy and advisory services for organizations integrating blockchain and digital assets into their operations. You will provide sophisticated technical guidance on complex digital-asset tax matters, including structuring, revenue recognition, cross-border planning, and regulatory compliance. The position combines client leadership, business development, and thought leadership responsibilities, allowing you to influence both internal strategy and the broader market. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while contributing to research, market insights, and educational initiatives. Ideal candidates are passionate about blockchain, DeFi, and digital finance, and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This position also includes mentoring and developing junior staff, shaping the firm’s digital-asset practice, and engaging with the industry as a subject-matter expert.

  • Lead multidimensional tax engagements for digital-asset clients, advising on entity structuring, tokenomics, transaction characterization, revenue recognition, and cross-border implications.
  • Conduct advanced tax research and review agreements, models, and filings associated with digital-asset business models.
  • Present complex tax and digital-asset concepts clearly to executives, founders, investment teams, and legal counsel.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through white papers, executive briefs, technical alerts, market commentary, and conference presentations.
  • Oversee client engagements, including timelines, budgets, resources, quality control, and staff development.
  • Mentor and train staff on tax fundamentals and digital-asset concepts, promoting a learning culture.
  • Support business development by participating in client pitches, proposals, and industry events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with technology partners, regulatory organizations, and other ecosystem participants.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, law, or related field; CPA, JD, or EA credentials required (CPA eligibility acceptable if applicable).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate, partnership, M&A, international, or structured transaction tax.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated experience managing client engagements, budgets, and team workflows.
  • Proven ability to work remotely or in a hybrid model and travel up to approximately 20%.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and passion for emerging financial technology and institutional adoption of digital assets.
  • Knowledge or interest in blockchain, digital assets, token mechanics, DeFi platforms, and on-chain analytics tools preferred.
