Requirements

• Active enrollment and a major in Accounting, Business, or Finance ( Junior standing or above )
• Interest in pursuing a career in public accounting
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

• Preferably pursuing the 150-credit hour academic requirement towards CPA eligibility

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare tax returns for individuals.
• Plan and prepare other tax compliance services as directed including trust returns and income tax
• Scan and file tax documents into software for review.
• Become familiar with and effectively utilize software in assigned areas.
• Communicate concise and accurate project status updates to Supervisors, Managers, and Partners
• Learn the tax return process (1044's): information gathering, client follow-up, preparation, and completion
• Develop the ability to identify, understand, and address accounting issues.
• Strengthen written and verbal communication skills with clients and colleagues.
• Actively participate in firm outings and activities as able.
