About The Position

We are searching for candidates interested in learning more about Tax and are curious about pursuing a career in Public Accounting. Interns will work under the direct supervision and mentorship of an industry expert and will spend a majority of your time working in our Nashville, Tennessee office. This internship will require full-time hours, plus overtime, beginning in January and lasting through April. As an intern, you will have an opportunity to work with clients in a wide variety of industries. Clients will range in size from start-up entities to large corporations. In addition to client work, you will develop skills with the following: Research, Accounting services, Client consulting engagements, Tax compliance skills-- individual, corporate, partnership, & state.

Requirements

• At least a Junior and actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with plans to take the CPA exam (pursuit of an educational track worth 150 credit hours).
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
• Be curious and try new things, actively seeking to learn how LBMC works as a business.
• Handle client and technical data responsibly to produce high quality work adhering to professional standards and client deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with peers and team leaders, embracing other points of view.
