About The Position

The Tax Experienced Senior, Business Incentives Group is primarily responsible for executing project tasks to identify, document, and support on exam BIG tax credits and incentives.  In this role, the Tax Experienced Senior, Business Incentives Group is charged with utilizing research skills and applying industry knowledge to understand the potential BIG tax credit issues and opportunities and to gather client information and documentation to identify qualified costs and expenses and calculate the BIG benefits efficiently and effectively. The role also may assist with business development and operational matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, required
  • Three (3) or more years of prior experience, required
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior analytical  and research skills 
  • Solid organizational skills, especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
  • Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Ability to effectively manage a team of tax professionals and delegate work assignments as needed
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with client personnel
  • Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels
  • Ability to prepare simple tax returns
  • Possesses a familiarity with all types of tax filing forms
  • Intermediate knowledge of appropriate application of tax standards to ensure effective and efficient delivery of tax services
  • Intermediate knowledge of sources of relevant information utilized in tax filings
  • Understanding and recognition of the economics of underlying transactions and book to tax differences in preparation of tax returns

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in accounting, tax, or finance, preferred
  • Prior experience performing services related to BIG tax credits preferred
  • Prior experience supervising tax professionals on a project or engagement basis preferred
  • CPA certification, preferred
