We are hiring a Tax & Estate Attorney with approximately 3–5 years of experience and a strong background in advanced estate, income tax, and trust administration matters. This full-time position has opened due to growth within the department and offers exceptional opportunities for professional development and long-term career advancement.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • California Bar admission required
  • 5 + years of experience in estate planning, tax planning, and trust administration
  • Demonstrated ability to work on advanced estate and income tax planning matters
  • Experience drafting and structuring a wide range of trust vehicles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; confidence interacting with high-net-worth clients
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning (highly preferred)
  • Strong background in tax law and/or prior experience in a tax-focused legal practice
  • Experience in a law firm environment serving high-net-worth individuals and privately held businesses
  • Experience creating LLC’s

Responsibilities

  • Advising on advanced estate, gift, and income tax planning strategies
  • Drafting and structuring revocable living trusts, irrevocable gift trusts, and related estate planning documents
  • Managing trust administration matters for high-net-worth clients
  • Conducting legal research and preparing technical memoranda on tax and estate issues
