About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, relevant industry experience, or a combination of both
• 5+ years of payroll and/or tax filing experience, ideally in a high-volume or bulk filing environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, agencies, and internal teams
• Analytical mindset with the ability to problem-solve and drive effective solutions independently
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.) and the ability to quickly learn internal systems
• A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and adaptability in a dynamic environment
• A proactive, self-starter attitude with sound judgment and decision-making skills
• A drive for continuous improvement and delivering exceptional results

Nice To Haves

• Professional certifications (CPA or Enrolled Agent) are a plus
• Experience with Salesforce or similar case management tools

Responsibilities

• Lead the timely and accurate filing of payroll tax returns across assigned jurisdictions using bulk processing methods.
• Partner with clients and tax agencies to resolve tax filing issues, including rejections, late filings, and amendments.
• Execute and manage tax agency data exchanges to ensure accurate rates and filing frequencies.
• Develop and maintain deep expertise in agency requirements, ensuring internal systems reflect current regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and tax agencies to gather requirements, solve issues, and improve filing processes.
• Contribute to automation initiatives, helping streamline deposits and filings while reducing manual processes.
• Use sound judgment to analyze issues, develop solutions, and drive outcomes independently.
• Support key business initiatives and special projects that enhance operational excellence.
