About The Position

Oatney & Associates is seeking a Seasonal Full Time Tax Clerk/Assembler to support the tax preparation process during the busy tax season from January to April 15th. The role involves managing client tax information, overseeing electronic filings, and providing general office support as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience with tax preparation and filing processes.
  • Familiarity with 1040 and 1041 tax forms.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage client information and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a tax office or accounting firm.
  • Proficiency in tax software and electronic filing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, scan, and copy 1040 client information.
  • Autoflow 1040's and 1041's.
  • Assemble all tax returns.
  • Process and oversee all electronic filings.
  • Process and oversee all client estimates.
  • Manage EFTPS estimates and setup.
  • Coordinate estimate emails with the Office Manager.
  • Backup Receptionist as needed.
  • Backup Office Manager as requested.
  • Perform other duties as delegated by the Office Manager.
