You will work closely with cross-practice teams, such as M&A, corporate, and finance, to structure tax-efficient deals nationwide. This is a mid-level role with significant client-facing responsibilities and leadership opportunities. Requirements

• JD with LL.M. or equivalent tax credentials
• 3-5 years of experience in U.S. federal tax, specializing in M&A, private equity, and cross-border transactions
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills—able to explain complex tax topics to clients and deal teams
• Track record of working effectively among corporate, international tax, IP, and real estate lawyers
• Adaptable researcher and writer, with high-quality drafting ability
• Admission to the New York bar

Responsibilities

• Structure federal tax aspects of M&A, including domestic and cross-border acquisitions, reorganizations, and divestitures
• Collaborate with private equity, corporate, real estate, and IP teams to integrate transaction targets into client tax frameworks
• Draft comprehensive tax analyses, memos, and deal documentation
• Counsel on tax-free reorganizations and partnership equity structures
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to internal tax strategy initiatives
