We are made up of approximately 35 employees who are dedicated to providing quality wealth management and tax services to our high-net-worth clientele. Professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer service are important components of our environment. We are looking for a Tax Associate to join our team of tax professionals in North Dallas, TX. You will provide white glove support to businesses and high net-worth individuals. Strong communication skills and reliability are paramount for this position. We hire talent who don't need or want to be micromanaged, allowing more time to make a difference and offer financial empowerment to our clients. You will report to the Director of Tax Services.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in tax preparation
  • Knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends during peak tax filing periods
  • Strong reconciliation and analysis skills
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness
  • Solid organizational skills, follow up, and high attention to details
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • You are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident or have other unrestricted U.S. work authorization and will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lacerte, Quick Books, and CaseWare preferred
  • CPA preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for multiple entity types (1040, 1120S, 1065, 1041, etc.)
  • General accounting for client businesses for use in income tax preparation including preparation of trial balances and related adjusting journal entries
  • Stay current on latest tax law changes
  • Learn tax research techniques to provide support for tax planning services
  • Assist in preparation of Forms 1099 and W-2 for clients
  • Help with tax research and consulting projects
