About The Position

Are you an experienced Tax Preparer with a desire to impact the world for Jesus? The International Mission Board, a nonprofit religious organization in Richmond, VA, is accepting ongoing applications for a Tax Preparer ! Location: Richmond, VA Headquarters Rate: Commensurate with experience + great benefits!

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferred in accounting, finance, or similar field
• At least one year minimum of tax return preparation, required
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills is required
• Advanced skills MS Office Suite experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns and maintain knowledge of tax law.
• Research and answer questions via e-mail and phone.
• Evaluate accuracy of prepared tax returns by internal preparers or external CPA’s.
• Assist with e-filing returns.
• Maintain and archive tax files per IRS.
• Prepare In-Plan Roth conversion estimates for field personnel during the fourth quarter of the year.
