About The Position

What this person will own (Day 1 impact): - End‑to-end support of annual 1099, 1042‑S, and California Form 590 reporting - Collection, validation, and maintenance of W‑9 and W‑8 vendor documentation - Monitoring vendor payments to determine reportability and withholding requirements - Preparation support and reconciliation of tax filings to IRS and state agencies - B‑Notice handling, error resolution, and IRS correspondence support - Maintenance of compliance calendars and statutory deadlines - Partnership with Accounts Payable, Vendor Master Data, and Tax teams to ensure data integrity - Support for internal and external audits, tax inquiries, and special reporting projects - Contribution to process improvements and automation initiatives within Shared Services Ideal background (strongly preferred): - Experience in a high‑volume AP Shared Services or centralized tax environment - Prior work supporting media, entertainment, or large corporate vendor populations - Exposure to vendor master data governance - Comfort partnering cross‑functionally with AP, Procurement, Legal, and Tax - Interest in process improvement and automation, not just compliance What will NOT be a fit (screen‑out guidance): - Pure public accounting tax prep with no information reporting exposure - Corporate tax provision / ASC 740–only profiles - Candidates without hands‑on 1099 / 1042 exposure - Early‑career AP clerks without tax compliance experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, vendor management, or tax compliance
  • IRS 1042, 1099, and California Form 590 knowledge and exposure
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, Excel, and data reconciliation skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a high‑volume AP Shared Services or centralized tax environment
  • Prior work supporting media, entertainment, or large corporate vendor populations
  • Exposure to vendor master data governance
  • Comfort partnering cross‑functionally with AP, Procurement, Legal, and Tax
  • Interest in process improvement and automation, not just compliance
