Tax Advisor, National Tax (Indirect Tax – Unclaimed Property & Escheat Services) (Senior) (Multiple Positions) (1688160), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Los Angeles, CA. Advise on unclaimed property tax risks and identify sustainable planning opportunities to provide effective processes, improve day-to-day reporting, and ensure indirect tax compliance. Contribute to client satisfaction by providing timely and responsive services and work products. Stay informed of current technical developments and effectively apply knowledge to client situations. Thoroughly and accurately analyze information related to unclaimed property. Prepare quality, practical approaches to the client's unclaimed property situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions. Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex unclaimed property concepts. Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on more complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues. Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services. Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

Requirements

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Tax, Management Information Systems, Law or a related field and 2 years of related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Tax, Management Information Systems, Law or a related field and 1 year of related work experience.
Must have 1 year of experience at a professional services or professional tax organization.
Must have 1 year of experience in at least one or a combination of the following: compliance, audit defence and/or consulting for abandoned and unclaimed property services.
Must have 1 year of experience working in tax compliance or consulting in Indirect Tax and/or State and Local Tax (SALT).
Must have 1 year of experience with unclaimed property compliance performance and process advisory.
Requires domestic travel up to 10% in order to serve client needs.

The base salary for this job is $130,630.00 per year.
