Tax Advisor - Fiduciary Trust Tax Services - Financial Services Office - Exceptional Delivery and Growth Engine (EDGE) (Senior Analyst) (Multiple Positions) (1677055), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Hoboken, NJ. Support the Fiduciary/Trust Tax Services practice with the preparation and delivery of tax information statements, tax returns and related reporting for agency, custody and fiduciary accounts for tax compliance engagements with banks, wealth management firms, trust companies and law firms. Perform tax research and prepare written tax advice. Prepare tax information statements and tax returns including complex Forms 1041 and state income tax returns for trusts and estates. Identify generation skipping transfer tax events that may require further consultation to determine additional reporting requirements. Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on more complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues. Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Tax, Law, Economics or a related field and two years of related work experience. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, the employer will accept an additional 2 years of related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Tax, Law, Economics or a related field and one year of related work experience.
  • Must have 1 year of experience in a professional services or tax services organization preparing federal and state fiduciary income tax returns.
  • Must have 1 year of experience preparing income tax returns with complex pass-through investments including family limited partnerships, publicly traded partnerships and hedge funds.
  • Must have 1 year of experience in review and correcting account and transaction data bridged from client accounting systems to company systems.
  • Must have 1 year of experience with trust tax software applications, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel; and at least one of the following: 1) ONESOURCE Trust Tax, 2) GoSystem, or 3) Wall Street Concepts.
  • Must have 1 year of experience liaising with clients with respect to U.S. taxation.

  • The base salary for this job is $108,135.00 per year.
