About The Position

Reporting to the Tax Advisors, the Tax Administrative Specialist is responsible for handling a broad range of administrative responsibilities within the tax department.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required (Associate's degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years in banking or financial role, tax processing/record experience preferred
  • Strong written and communication skills required
  • Solid computer skills, including ability to work effectively and efficiently within Microsoft office required
  • Adobe Acrobat experience preferred
  • Proven ability to learn processes, procedures and computer software quickly required

Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility for the inflow, outflow, and retention of information to and from our clients and other departments within our firm
  • Work closely with clients (internal and external) to gather information needed to complete tax returns
  • Download documents from our secure server and save them within our electronic filing system
  • Complete special projects as assigned by direct and indirect supervisors
  • Check the file management software periodically throughout the day for items added to his/her inbox for documenting, scanning, etc.
  • Update/maintain internal database with taxpayer details and tax return statuses
  • Internally communicate and coordinate with the other departments in the firm
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively perform project execution within assigned deadlines
  • Assist in set up of workpapers for tax filings
  • Assist in preparation of tax estimated payment vouchers
  • May help prepare tax extensions and input individual tax returns
  • Able to use sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Exhibit superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service skills and responsiveness to client requests
  • Consistently demonstrate professional demeanor and presentation
  • Demonstrate ability to be flexible and adapt to an ever-changing work environment
  • Able to appropriately handle confidential and highly sensitive material
