You prepare and file sales and use tax returns, reconcile general ledger accounts, and ensure use tax is properly accrued. You dive into property tax compliance, annual reports, business licenses, and abandoned property filings, while also researching tax projects and staying up-to-date with industry developments. You collaborate with our sales force and customer service team to safeguard customer taxable status, and when audits arise, you confidently provide the requested documentation. From regular compliance work to exciting special projects, you play an essential role in keeping our financial processes strong and our business running smoothly. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles, basic sales/use tax compliance, and familiarity with audit support
  • Basic understanding of federal, state, and local income tax concepts
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Explorer software
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to lift and/or move 25 pounds
  • Ability to use computers for business
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced business climate with the ability to capture and process information quickly
