We are seeking a Corporate Tax Accountant for our corporate operations based in Lenexa, KS. The role involves filing tax returns, communicating with tax jurisdictions, performing tax research, assisting in audits, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax guidelines. Requirements

  • 2-4 years of tax experience; accounting experience is a plus.
  • Experience in a complex, multistate tax environment preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Experience with sales and use tax compliance in a multistate environment.
  • Experience with federal, state, income, and franchise tax preferred.
  • Longevity in tenure with past employers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CCH software.
  • Understanding of multistate tax processes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare sales and use, income, and property tax returns for jurisdictions throughout the United States.
  • Analyze and research transactions to determine the correct tax treatment.
  • Respond to and resolve jurisdictional inquiries and correspondence.
  • Perform tax account reconciliations and resolve any exceptions.
  • Provide customer service to support branch operations.
  • Participate in team trainings to further develop tax technical and interpersonal skills.
