Job Summary: The Tax Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant payroll tax processing across multiple jurisdictions, supporting both daily operations and strategic initiatives. This role applies strong project management skills to oversee payroll tax deliverables, ensuring deadlines and expectations are consistently met. The analyst maintains up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, coordinating multi-state payroll tax compliance and ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and requirements. This position manages the calculation, validation, and reconciliation of payroll tax filings, deposits, and remittances, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end filings such as W-2 and 1099 reporting. The Payroll Tax Analyst partners closely with finance and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, support bank reconciliations, and address tax notices through effective communication with tax agencies. Additionally, the role supports continuous improvement efforts by identifying process enhancements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of payroll operations. Responsibilities also include managing support ticket resolution, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) when needed, and ensuring high-quality service delivery within established service level agreements. Utilizes strong accounting knowledge and advanced spreadsheet/database tools to analyze data, validate accuracy, and support reporting and financial processes. Requirements
