About The Position

Prepares the company's federal state, and local tax returns by examining accounts and records and computing tax returns according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations. Audits financial records to determine tax liability. Prepares claims for tax refunds, maintains tax records, prepares routine and special tax reports, and advises management regarding business, internal programs, and activities as they relate to tax matters. Performs accounting functions including compilation of financial information, journal entry processing, reconciliations, and the analysis of data. Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Initiates and processes journal entries into various accounts. Reconciles accounts as required and resolves differences. Provides financial information as required to management. Uses various software applications such as spreadsheets and databases to provide supporting documentation for schedules and journal entries. Perform analyses on various balance sheet accounts such as inventory, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Lockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related discipline from an accredited college.
  • Computer skills - excel, Word.
  • Relevant experience or internship.
