About The Position

The Scale Operator in the Tavil Room department is responsible for the measuring the weight and labeling of all products before it is boxed and prepared for shipment.

Requirements

• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to speak English, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tray counts are accurate, proper labels and correct date are applied.
• Identify product in box, use correct box (organic/RWA), place on scale, label product with correct weight and identification.
• Ensure all information on case label is accurate.
• Clean scale at end of shift.
• Change label rolls and perform general label application.
• Address any safety or quality concerns proactively.
• Learn how to operate weight price machine and verify accuracy of information once label is printed out.
