About The Position

The Task Order Manager (TOM) serves as the primary management and contractual point of contact for task order execution. The TOM is responsible for overall planning, coordination, oversight, and performance of all contractor activities associated with task order status reporting, program management, lifecycle logistics, and systems engineering. This role ensures all task order deliverables, schedules, staffing, and quality standards are met in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and government direction.

Requirements

  • Must be U.S. citizen.
  • Active Secret
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management or a related technical discipline
  • 10 years of experience supporting DoD or federal technical programs, including: task order or project management, oversight of engineering or technical teams, and managing performance against PWS or SOW requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage, lead and advise staff members to meet established program objectives.
  • Manage and report task order labor, travel, and other direct cost data.
  • Analyze, forecast, and assign labor resources for future support.
  • Lead and manage the research and application of advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts to solve complex technological problems; lead and advise others in problem resolution efforts.
  • Oversee the application of industry best practices and standards, leading-edge technology, and innovative solutions in the design, development, and testing of systems that combine electronics with optics.
  • Managing a team that plans, conducts and reports on the testing of a broad range of infantry weapons systems and support equipment.
  • Act independently to resolve problems and challenges of program activities.
  • Research and recommend avenues of technological application to enhance or expedite the accomplishment of short-and long-term program objectives.
  • Design, develop and implement informed, insightful solutions to meet fiscal, technological and schedule constraints.
  • Managing a team that plans, schedules and conducts electro-optical system testing, monitoring & surveillance, test plan development, test method development, test equipment upkeep, troubleshooting, maintenance, and maintenance management.
  • Manage a team that validates and reports on the technical analysis of test results and testing data, and provides feedback and recommendations for follow-up testing, maintenance or use.
  • Coordinate, conduct and report on limited user evaluations, system testing, and equipment inventory and maintenance.
  • Report on and provide recommendations for development, procurement, or implementation of related advanced technology.
  • Maintain complete accountability of all Government Furnished Property and assets, test equipment, and systems tested, to include inventory control & reporting, complete and accurate key supporting documentation (KSD), and audit support.
  • Manage, monitor, and report on Task Order status.
