About The Position

Arcadis seeks a motivated Task Manager to support environmental projects through a blend of field and office-based activities. This role involves managing and executing multidisciplinary tasks related to contaminated site characterization, multi-media investigations, remedial project planning and reporting, and project delivery. This is a position for a dynamic individual looking for career growth in environmental consulting within the environmental remediation market. This full-time position will help manage the operation, maintenance, and monitoring aspects of environmental remediation projects with oversight from senior managers and technical experts. The ideal candidate will possess great attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently, and possess a drive to be a productive contributor within a high-performance team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or closely related field.
  • 0-2 years relevant internship or work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with groundwater and/or soil sampling and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 40-hour Health & Safety Training.
  • Geologist-In-Training (GIT) or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience with task management, field event coordination, and technical writing.
  • Previous experience with regulatory compliance and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and conducting the collection of environmental media samples such as soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air, and soil vapor.
  • Overseeing well installation and abandonment, drilling activities, and geologic logging, while providing active supervision of subcontractors to ensure both quality and safety.
  • Developing work and sampling plans, coordinating field schedules, and managing environmental data to support reporting.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports, field event summaries, and regulatory submittals.
  • Support project management tasks such as scope, schedule, budget oversight, and preparing cost estimates and proposals.
  • Effective communication with clients, regulators, and project teams, along with conducting research to ensure regulatory compliance.
