Temp TARPER RESPONSIBILITIES Beginning of shift: - Attend a safety meeting and talk about the agenda for the day. - Do a forklift checklist to make sure lift is in operational condition. - Go out back and fill up empty propane tanks as well as what's needed for the day. - Make sure the blue light is flashing when there is no train coming and turn if off if it does come. DURING SHIFT: - Meet the drivers outback to get paperwork and escort them into the correct place to be loaded. Same thing with the rail cars. - Make sure drivers have their hard hats and safety glasses and their wheels are chocked. - Load trucks with specified quantity and item per the pick slip the drivers has. - Come to office and enter exactly what has been loaded on the truck making any quintile changes necessary into computer and hard drive his bill of lading. - Includes safe tarp operations. END SHIFT: - Make sure all trucks have been loaded for the day. - Give scale house a call to make sure there are no more flatbeds and if not park the forklift, turn off gas, and go home. MAINTENANCE DAY: - Load Trucks.
