About The Position

Serve as a beer guide/ambassador for our guests, providing a unique experience and education for those who are new to craft beer Greet guests and explain our beer and food menu, assist with selections, and take orders in a positive and friendly manner Attend to guests before, during, and after their meals/drinks Assist with any to-go orders, beer and merch at the end of each meal Serve as an information hub for guests on all things related to the brewery/taproom (info on upcoming events, beers, food, specials, etc) Assist the FOH team with side work as needed, including folding linens, to-go packaging, cleaning of taproom, and other service prep/clean-up

Requirements

  • Flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays)
  • Knowledge of menu items, including beers, wines, and food
  • Knowledge of POS systems and basic computer skills
  • Working knowledge of craft beer styles
  • Alcohol Awareness Training (T.I.P.S. Certification)
  • Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
  • Able to tolerate pressure and work calmly and efficiently during busy times
  • Exhibits an excellent service attitude and be willing to go out of their way to accommodate the guests and exceed their expectations
  • Shows enthusiasm for the job and for Alternate Ending
  • Is considerate, patient and willing to help out fellow employees
  • Is courteous, has a friendly personality and professional appearance.
  • Exhibits strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Is observant and thorough, responsible and punctual.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 25-50lbs
  • Frequently stands, walks, talks and hears; uses hands, reaches with hands and arms; occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, taste or smells
  • Occasionally works in extreme heat, wet or humid conditions.
  • Noise level is moderate
  • Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions

  • Cicerone Level 1 certification recommended
