Responsible for: mara, glace, and bleach tank processing; maintaining proper brine, SO2, fruit and syrup brix, and PH levels by adding chemicals; monitoring the fruit in fiber tanks ensuring circulation, pressure and bacteria growth are within specification and all pumps and other equipment are functioning properly; operating and maintaining sugar recovery system (APV); ensuring accurate paperwork completion.

Requirements

  • Internal GMP/HACCP/BRC Training
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Complete work instruction/qualification sheet in allotted time frame
  • Trained and knowledgeable in the use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Must pass respiratory fitness test
  • OSHA Forklift License

Responsibilities

  • Mara, bleach, glace, and syrup tank processing
  • Monitor and maintain brine and SO2 levels
  • Monitor and maintain fruit and syrup brix levels
  • Monitor and maintain PH levels
  • Responsible for sugar recovery system (APV)
  • Receive product tankers; collect sample to confirm quality
  • Monitor fruit for bacteria growth
  • Check equipment to ensure proper function
  • Understand the controls for: syrup, steam, water, etc
  • Accurate paperwork completion
  • Maintain and operate forklift safely at all times
  • Complete daily forklift tests
  • Maintain housekeeping in area
  • Other tasks as assigned
