About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS is currently seeking a Tanker - 1st Shift to join our team on Lincoln Ave. in Waukesha, WI! The Assembler (Tanker) is responsible for Tank substation and three-phase pad-mounted transformers, making all necessary connections to bushings, switches, etc. In this function, you will: Locate and move tanks, parts, and covers to assembly area. Assemble bushings and current transformers to cover or tank as specified. Mount core and coil in tank and bolts in place, clamp cover in place and makes all electrical connections to bushings, and mount tap changer, switches, current transformers, and vacuum fault interrupters. Locate and assemble all accessories, such as oil level gauges, thermometer, pressure-vacuum gauge, pressure relief device, etc. to the tank as specified. Check all lead clearances inside unit and assemble needed spacers and or insulating barriers as required. Perform resistance testing on small pad-mounted transformers. VFI, Load break switches. Read and work off of blueprints and schematics

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, or drawings.

Nice To Haves

  • Education in AC/DC fundamentals (internal Eaton course)
  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous electrical assembly or wiring experience.

Responsibilities
