We are currently searching for trailer mechanics with 2+ years pf mechanical and/or tank trailer repair experience for out N Charleston, SC location! Address: 2653 Veneer Avenue, N. Charleston, SC. 29405 Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, occasional overtime Pay Range: $19.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience. (Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.) Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas: The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer. Tank service and repair Trailer suspension installation and repair Experience with air brake systems and repairs TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional) Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat) Physical Demands: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole Must be able to work in confined spaces DCI Benefits: Medical, dental and vision insurance 401(k) with generous employer match Paid time off, including 10 paid holidays Optional health savings account & flexible spending account Life insurance Employee assistance program Parental leave Referral program Tuition reimbursement Tool purchase program Effective and proven safety program Resources to become a national board ASME certified welder
