This position is responsible for performing daily equipment inspections and maintenance. 4/10 schedule with OT opportunities

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent
  • Industrial experience required (2 years preferred)
  • TWIC Card (or ability to obtain a TWIC card)
  • Works well in a small team
  • lift/carry 45lb max, climb 8' ladder and stairs, crouch and reach in crouch position
  • Must be able to pass drug screen
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
  • Pre-Employment qualification test if applicable
  • Job site "Personal Protective Equipment" requirements (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe boots, etc.)
  • Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Nice To Haves

  • Computer skills preferred
  • Skid Steer, Forklift, and/or manlift experience a plus
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER (29CFR 1910.120) training preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance
  • Monitor and maintain fluid levels on machinery (pumps, engines, pneumatics, etc.) in accordance with specific work assignments
  • Material handling in accordance with site specific health and safety program and standard operating procedures
  • Safely enter and navigate storage tanks containing hazardous vapors, chemicals, or petroleum products
  • Use high-pressure water blasting (hydro-blasting), vacuum trucks, and chemical cleaners to remove sludge, scale, and residues
  • Perform basic pipefitting, welding, or bolt-up work to repair tank floors, seals, and manways
  • Sandblasting and abrasive blasting to prepare surfaces for industrial coatings and liners
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
