The TANF Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the TANF Program, ensuring compliance with Tribal, State, and Federal regulations. This role involves developing and implementing policies, managing staff, and addressing participant grievances while promoting the program's goals and objectives.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the TANF Program.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures in accordance with the Tribal Family Assistance Plan (TFAP).
  • Address and resolve internal and external complaints and problems.
  • Respond to participant grievances and community complaints.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to program staff to ensure efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with program services according to regulations.
  • Approve monthly cash assistance grant requests for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in developing youth and family prevention programs.
  • Conduct pre-audit file reviews and address audit issues with the Social Services Director.
  • Meet regularly with TANF program staff to review program status.
  • Four years' direct management experience in Social Work or closely related field.
  • Four years' direct work experience in Social Work, Human Services, Native American Studies, or closely related field, or eight years' direct work experience in TANF Services or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Native American Studies, or closely related field.
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Native American Studies, or closely related field.
