The Talent Specialist is responsible for supporting all aspects of talent acquisition, recruiting, and onboarding. This role partners with hiring managers and candidates to ensure a smooth, efficient, and positive hiring experience. The Talent Specialist facilitates new hire orientation, processes employment documentation, and manages candidate communications while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with all employment laws.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of recruiting or Human Resources experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding internal and external guest service.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to adapt and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for Human Resources and supporting team member success.

  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all established departmental and property policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding sensitive and proprietary information.
  • Assist the Talent Manager with recruitment activities, new hire processing, onboarding, and employment documentation.
  • Review employment applications to ensure candidates meet the minimum qualifications and requirements for the positions to which they have applied.
  • Process new hire paperwork, including background checks, motor vehicle reports (as applicable), and I-9 verification.
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation, ensuring new team members receive a welcoming, informative, and compliant onboarding experience.
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation tours for new team members.
  • Register new team members for required training (e.g., New Hire Orientation, TIPS) and communicate training schedules clearly.
  • Utilize recruiting tools, systems, and resources to support hiring efforts and improve recruitment processes.
  • Communicate effectively with candidates regarding application status and next steps in the hiring process.
  • Partner with HR team members and hiring managers to support staffing needs and ensure a positive hiring experience.
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality guest service to both internal team members and external candidates and guests.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of team member functions and Human Resources–sponsored events as needed.
  • Cross-train in all aspects of Human Resources operations and provide backup support for the HR Administrator when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
