Dean, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Management Specialist (Staff Level) to support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs that enhance employee development, engagement, and performance. This role plays a critical part in advancing talent strategies that align with business goals and HR priorities, with a focus on performance management, learning initiatives, and career progression. Reporting to the Talent Management Manager, the Specialist will contribute to the development, management, and execution of enterprise-wide talent solutions that foster a culture of growth, support internal mobility, and drive organizational excellence. This position is based at M.C. Dean’s headquarters in Tysons, Virginia, and is expected to be performed on-site during standard business hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, talent management, organizational development, or a related field required. (Master’s preferred).
  • 0+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Plus if you have a professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or CPLP/ATD Certification).
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive information and interacting with employees.
  • Demonstrates a forward-looking, proactive mindset and takes initiative to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in talent processes, systems, and program delivery.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, implementation, rollout, and facilitation of enterprise-wide talent management programs aligned with organizational needs, including career progression, performance evaluations, succession planning, and leadership.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual training programs, including provider selection, scheduling, enrollment, and materials preparation to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Generate and distribute reports on training completion, participation, and development metrics to support internal reviews and decision-making.
  • Collaborate on the execution of leadership career progression processes, including facilitating training, tracking submissions and process steps, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Partner with stakeholders across HR and Marketing & Communications to promote training opportunities, including aligning calendars, drafting intranet announcements, and coordinating messaging to increase employee engagement.
  • Manage and coordinate multiple concurrent talent initiatives with precision and attention to detail, ensuring timely and high-quality execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support employees in navigating career pathways and accessing development tools and resources, providing guidance on an as-needed basis.
  • Analyze talent management program data and key talent metrics to identify trends, assess program effectiveness, and provide leadership with actionable insights and recommendations for future improvement.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in talent management, contributing recommendations to enhance program impact.
