About The Position

The Talent Management Consultant assists with the implementation of the human resources agenda/strategies in the subsidiary (ECR) by assuming several operational, supportive, and administrative responsibilities and programs. The responsibilities cover a range of different activities including but not limited to the conduct of internal investigations, managing employer-employee relationships, affecting required labor reporting, requiring the role of the Human Resources Officer to perform as an advisor/consultant, partner, liaison, or facilitator to ensure the unit’s effectiveness, as well as the businesses’ productivity.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Management of Human Resources Management is required.
  • A minimum of five years of previous experience in Human Resources employee relations, labor relations, and familiarity with local and federal regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Current certifications in Human Resources such as SHRM or HCI are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures adherence to the organization’s institutional rules by providing guidance and direction to supervisors and managers managing employer-employee relationships.
  • Coordinates/collaborates with Talent Management Consultant to ensure delivery of training on employer-employee related policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Gathers data and completes surveys to affect reporting of labor-related statistics to the USVI Government.
  • Leads all internal investigations by hosting interviews, gathering information, crafting final reports, and submitting recommendations.
  • Serves as the subject-matter expert and initial point of contact for employees requesting FMLA, reasonable accommodation, short-term and long-term disability.
  • Serves as the employees’ first point of contact for the resolution of payroll discrepancies.
  • Ensures compliance with local and federal employment posting requirements.
  • Conducts employee exit interviews to obtain feedback necessary to determine the reasons for employee turnover.
  • Participates and recommends initiatives to affect the institution’s engagement and diversity strategy.
  • Takes the lead on recruitment efforts that require coordination and confirmation with Immigration Departments.
