The Talent Development Specialist will meet with participants to identify barriers to employment and develop strategies to manage these issues. The role involves maintaining complete, accurate, and timely case notes and related records in manual and/or electronic systems. The specialist ensures access to supportive services and retention services for job seekers, engages with community and agency partners to generate referrals, and builds and maintains a network of community resources for participants. Additionally, the specialist manages outreach to referrals who fail to show for appointments, assists participants with the program application process, and determines program eligibility. Responsibilities also include sending out correspondence to schedule appointments, requesting employment verifications, and acquiring pay stubs when applicable. The specialist creates, updates, and ensures completion of plans according to contract deadlines, attends scheduled weekly unit meetings, and monitors and records job seeker participation in required activities. The role requires knowledge of current and future ResCare and contract-specific policies, SOPs, and Operations Memos, ensuring confidentiality of job seeker information, and protecting ResCare equipment and property. The specialist authorizes, distributes, and reconciles transportation assistance and ensures timely submission and preparation of documentation for scanning. Utilizing a trauma-informed mindset in all interactions and adopting trauma-responsive practices is essential. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
