About The Position

The Talent Development Intern has responsibility for assisting the Talent Development department with Talent Development functions of Lilly Pulitzer. As the Talent Development Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in HR functions while working with cross-collaborative teams. A day in the life includes assisting with maintaining the integrity of personnel files, providing and arranging new hire onboarding, recruitment scheduling, screening resumes, interview coordination, and candidate communications. You will also assist with maintaining the Human Resource Information System (Workday) and Payroll System (ADP Workforce Now), monitoring, training, and enforcing company personnel policies, and processing annual performance appraisals. Please note, associates may be asked to perform duties that are outside the specific functions that are listed.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or related function.
  • Requires an upbeat, energetic, enthusiastic individual.
  • Must be interactive, approachable, credible, and discrete.
  • Requires an understanding of legal compliance issues for employment practices.
  • Ability to interact effectively with principals and senior colleagues regarding strategic staffing recommendations.
  • Must be curious about HR policies and procedures and submit suggestions for improving and streamlining processes.
  • Ideal for a student who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn Human Resource practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintaining integrity of personnel files.
