Lumen is seeking a Talent Development Consultant to join the team, focusing on supporting technical training initiatives, particularly for Mass Markets programs. This role is pivotal in fostering an inclusive culture that aligns with Lumen's core operating principles of Teamwork, Trust, and Transparency. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a variety of training programs that support processes, products, systems, and methodologies aimed at driving corporate results. The position requires a strong emphasis on effective facilitation skills, including advanced preparation, clear communication, active listening, and the ability to create a safe learning environment for participants. In this role, the Talent Development Consultant will coach and develop individual contributors at Lumen to enhance their knowledge and skills. They will perform on-the-job training support activities through experiential learning and will be expected to seek feedback through observations of live training events. This feedback will be used to adapt instruction to meet individual training needs while ensuring the group's overall learning progress is maintained. The consultant will also recommend improvements to training content based on feedback, program metrics, and performance goals. The position requires the consultant to learn new content quickly and be recognized as a credible expert in the material being taught. Collaboration is key, as the consultant will work cross-functionally with multiple teams to ensure that training is delivered on time and is impactful. Building trust with strategic internal customers and partners is essential to ensure the ongoing effectiveness and efficiency of training events. Additionally, the consultant will maintain records of training activities and employee progress for trend analysis and will champion Lumen, HR, and team initiatives.
