Lumen is seeking a Talent Development Consultant to join the team, focusing on supporting technical training initiatives, particularly for Mass Markets programs. This role is pivotal in fostering an inclusive culture that aligns with Lumen's core operating principles of Teamwork, Trust, and Transparency. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a variety of training programs that support processes, products, systems, and methodologies aimed at driving corporate results. The position requires a strong emphasis on effective facilitation skills, including advanced preparation, clear communication, active listening, and the ability to create a safe learning environment for participants. In this role, the Talent Development Consultant will coach and develop individual contributors at Lumen to enhance their knowledge and skills. This includes performing on-the-job training support activities through experiential learning and seeking feedback through observations of live training events. The consultant will need to adapt instruction to meet individual training needs while ensuring the group's overall learning progress is maintained. Additionally, the consultant will recommend improvements to training content based on feedback, program metrics, and performance goals, and will be expected to learn new content quickly to establish credibility as an expert in new class material. Collaboration is key, as the consultant will work cross-functionally with multiple teams to ensure that training is delivered on time and is impactful. Building trust with strategic internal customers and partners is essential to ensure the ongoing effectiveness and efficiency of training events. The consultant will also maintain records of training activities and employee progress for trend analysis and will champion Lumen, HR, and team initiatives to promote a culture of continuous improvement and development.
