About The Position

The Talent Advisor Professional at Waste Management is a key member of the Talent Acquisition team, responsible for collaborating with business and HR partners to meet the talent acquisition needs of the organization. This role focuses on attracting top talent through effective sourcing strategies, candidate engagement, and maintaining compliance with hiring regulations. The position requires a proactive approach to building talent pipelines and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience in talent acquisition.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Experience in both large and small team environments.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle high volume recruitment efforts.
  • Expert knowledge of employment law and corporate recruitment practices.
  • In-depth experience in competency-based interview techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of workforce planning and market trends.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with business partners to develop talent strategies for attracting top talent.
  • Leverage various sourcing tools and programs, including job boards and social media, to build talent pipelines.
  • Screen potential applicants against job qualifications and business needs.
  • Meet regularly with management and stakeholders to strengthen the candidate pool and discuss recruiting strategies.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis of requisition history and sourcing effectiveness.
  • Conduct preliminary interviews and coordinate virtual interviews as needed.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to forecast talent needs and build proactive talent pipelines.
  • Engage candidates by providing information on compensation, benefits, and company policies.
  • Negotiate and extend offers of employment to selected candidates.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Maintain compliance with all hiring regulations and document retention policies.
  • Participate in educational programs to stay current on recruiting trends.
