About The Position
The Talent Acquisition Career Outreach Specialist at Ochsner Health is a pivotal role focused on talent attraction through various career outreach events. This position serves as a Talent ambassador and acts as the primary point of contact for local, regional, and national career events, as well as system-wide internal recruitment events. The specialist will particularly focus on critical workforce segments, including Allied Health and Diversity Recruitment initiatives. The role requires a proactive approach to building relationships with educational institutions and organizations to enhance recruitment efforts and create talent pipelines for the organization. In this role, the specialist will be responsible for organizing and executing a variety of recruitment events, such as presentations, career fairs, and open houses. They will foster and maintain meaningful relationships with key organizations, collegiate career services offices, and faculty members. The specialist will also conduct recruitment analysis to provide insights into the collegiate talent market and partner with the Ochsner Talent Sourcing Team for effective marketing and follow-up strategies. The position demands strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as the specialist will be required to present information clearly and professionally to large groups. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is essential, along with experience in Applicant Tracking Systems and Candidate Relationship Management tools. The role also requires excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The specialist will need to demonstrate creativity and initiative in suggesting ideas to improve talent attraction objectives and will be expected to travel to various Ochsner facilities, local schools, and conferences as needed.
