About The Position

Mortenson is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist I that will serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers by acquiring the right talent to support business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience
• Minimum three years of recruiting/HR experience or a combination of higher education and experience
• Ability to make recommendations on hiring decisions to upper management
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Proficiency in using PC and widely used software packages (e.g., Excel, MS Word, HRIS/database)
• Strong teamwork orientation
• Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
• Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback

Responsibilities

• Act as the Talent Acquisition Relationship Manager for assigned business groups, developing staffing priorities, conducting weekly meetings, and updating staffing reports
• Source and staff open positions, ensuring a diverse slate of candidates and directly recruiting for employment consideration
• Collaborate with hiring managers on recruitment and selection plans, and establish employment offers
• Negotiate and manage external recruiting resources (researchers, agencies, internet service companies, etc.)
• Develop approaches to identify and source needed talent through direct recruiting, Open House gatherings, Job Fairs, and Internet Recruiting
• Refer team members to appropriate contact points for headquarters talent management services (benefit services, complaint/issue resolution, drug and alcohol-free program)
• Build and maintain relationships with team members across the organization at all levels
