About The Position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for supporting recruiting efforts for technical and field-based roles supporting electrical utility infrastructure projects. This role partners with hiring managers and HR leadership to identify qualified candidates and maintain talent pipelines for positions across transmission, distribution, engineering, and construction operations. The Talent Acquisition Specialist manages candidate sourcing, screening, and interview coordination while helping ensure the organization attracts and hires qualified professionals to support utility projects across multiple regions.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR support.
  • Experience recruiting for technical, engineering, construction, or field-based roles highly preferred .
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and recruiting platforms.
  • Strong candidate sourcing and screening skills.
  • Ability to evaluate resumes for technical and field-based positions.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with recruiting platforms, HR systems, and Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting within the electrical utilities, energy, or infrastructure industries.
  • Familiarity with roles supporting transmission and distribution (T&D) operations.
  • Experience supporting hiring for project-based or field deployment roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate Sourcing Source and identify qualified candidates for roles supporting electrical utility operations including engineers, inspectors, construction managers, AutoCAD technicians, and field personnel.
  • Utilize recruiting platforms, job boards, professional networks, and referrals to build candidate pipelines.
  • Maintain talent pools for frequently hired roles within transmission and distribution (T&D) projects.
  • Candidate Screening Conduct initial candidate screenings to evaluate qualifications, experience, and project alignment.
  • Review resumes to assess candidate experience related to utility engineering, construction oversight, and field operations.
  • Present qualified candidates to hiring managers for further evaluation.
  • Interview Coordination Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Support hiring managers through the interview process and gather feedback.
  • Maintain communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process.
  • Recruiting Operations Maintain job postings across recruiting platforms and ensure job descriptions remain current.
  • Track candidate activity and maintain accurate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Assist with offer preparation and pre-employment documentation.
  • Hiring & Onboarding Support Support the onboarding process to ensure new hires are prepared for project assignments.
  • Coordinate with HR and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment of personnel to utility projects.
