Talent Acquisition Specialist

MY WIRELESSCarolina, PR

About The Position

My Wireless is one of the fastest growing authorized Liberty and AT&T dealers in the nation with over 240 locations. At My Wireless, our mission is to inspire team members through journeys that instill knowledge, habits, and skills to connect with our customers in order to realize goals and aspirations, one milestone at a time. Role Summary The Scheduling Specialist is the strategic driver behind retail productivity. Moving beyond basic timekeeping, this role analyzes historical traffic patterns, individual seller performance (Top Sellers), and budgeted labor hours to build schedules that maximize revenue per hour. The goal is to place the right people (based on sales competency) in the right store at the right time to meet traffic demand while strictly adhering to payroll budgets.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of scheduling, workforce management, or retail operations experience (wireless/Tech/High-volume retail preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas) or scheduling software (e.g., When I Work, UKG, Paycom, NICE WFM).
  • Proven ability to work with labor budgets and hourly traffic data.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in commissioned wireless sales (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, or authorized retailer).
  • Knowledge of wireless sales metrics (attach rates, insurance, next-up, features).
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Process optimization) or WFM professional certification.

Responsibilities

  • Traffic-Based Forecasting & Scheduling Analyze foot traffic trends, local events, and promotional calendars (e.g., new iPhone/Android launches) to predict peak selling windows. Build weekly and monthly schedules that align labor hours with anticipated traffic curves (e.g., scheduling 3 Top Sellers on Saturday morning vs. 1 mid-tier seller on Tuesday at 10 AM). Ensure all schedules are published within required timeframes (e.g., 14 days in advance).
  • Resource Optimization & Labor Budgets Manage schedules to strictly adhere to allocated budget hours without exceeding weekly payroll caps. Utilize an "efficiency ratio" (Sales $ / Labor Hour) to validate schedule adjustments. Minimize "non-selling" overlap (e.g., two managers doing paperwork simultaneously) to maximize customer-facing coverage.
  • Top Seller Deployment Strategy Identify the 20% of sellers generating 80% of revenue and prioritize their shifts during highest traffic windows. Rotate lower performers into slower, training-heavy shifts or off-peak hours to protect conversion rates. Create staggered shift start times to ensure coverage from open to close without dead zones.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination Partner with Store Managers to approve time-off requests without crippling coverage. Adjust schedules in real-time for call-outs, ensuring the strongest available seller covers the gap. Work with HR to align new hire training schedules with store traffic lows (e.g., training on Mon-Wed, floor selling Thu-Sat).
  • Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with state break laws, overtime restrictions, and minor work permits. Generate weekly "Schedule Efficiency Reports" showing: Coverage vs. Traffic, % of Top Sellers on Peak Hours, and Budget Variance. Audit time clock edits to prevent schedule creep (unapproved early ins/late outs).
