About The Position

Talent Acquisition Specialist – Arriva UK Trains Location: This is a hybrid position, with your base location aligned to the most suitable office based on your home address. The role will involve travel and, at times, overnight stays. About us Are you an organised, solutions‑focused recruiter who enjoys working across a broad and varied role portfolio? We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruitment across our UK Trains businesses - including Arriva Rail Services, Arriva TrainCare, ARTS, and Grand Central. This role is ideal for someone who is confident managing end‑to‑end recruitment across a wide range of disciplines: from unskilled and skilled operational roles, to engineering, technical, professional services and other business‑critical vacancies. Requirements

  • Proven experience recruiting across a range of role types (e.g., operational, technical, engineering, corporate, professional).
  • Ability to adapt sourcing and engagement strategies based on the role discipline and its complexity.
  • Experience with Workday or similar ATS platforms.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with polished written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple vacancies at different stages with ease.

Nice To Haves

  • Rail experience is welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage job requisition workflows in our ATS - Workday. Ensure accurate governance, compliance and real‑time status updates.
  • Maintain strong data integrity across all recruitment activity.
  • Advertise roles across internal and external platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to craft compelling, accurate job adverts tailored to each discipline.
  • Review CVs and conduct initial screening where appropriate.
  • Coordinate interviews and manage candidate communication throughout the process.
  • Maintain compliant, accurate candidate records.
  • Monitor application progress and support candidate system access when needed.
  • Use a range of sourcing tools, talent pools, job boards and networks.
  • Build and nurture pipelines across diverse role types and future workforce requirements.
  • Engage passive talent to support long‑term attraction and strategic hiring.
