About The Position

The position involves developing and implementing strategic recruitment plans to attract healthcare professionals across various levels, ensuring job seekers can find suitable employment opportunities within our network. The role emphasizes a client-centered approach, fostering positive relationships with candidates and stakeholders. The individual will work closely with the Career Services team to support job readiness for candidates, integrating training and resources that enhance their qualifications for placement opportunities. Responsibilities include conducting interviews, assessing qualifications, and matching candidates with appropriate job openings within the network, as well as collaborating with HR recruiters to understand position requirements and align candidate placements effectively. The use of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as iCIMS is essential to streamline recruitment processes, manage candidate data, and support efficient placement workflows. Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers, union representatives, and other stakeholders is crucial, as is actively representing the Fund at job fairs, recruitment forums, and networking events to promote the mission and increase visibility. The role requires approaching each candidate with humility and emotional intelligence, providing compassionate guidance during their job search and transition, and tailoring support to meet each candidate’s unique needs. Additionally, the individual will assist in creating recruitment materials, including job advertisements for public and internal postings, to attract a diverse and qualified candidate pool. Ensuring adherence to Fund policies and contributing to the continuous improvement of recruitment and placement processes within the Employer Relations and Placement Unit is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in HR recruitment, talent acquisition, or a related field, preferably within healthcare or nonprofit settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., iCIMS).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the five boroughs, Hudson Valley and Long Island as needed.
