About The Position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Fincantieri Marinette Marine is responsible for managing the full scope of talent acquisition activities for the non-exempt, blue-collar workforce. This role involves recruiting, interviewing, evaluating, and referring qualified candidates to hiring managers, as well as coordinating interviews and facilitating the new hire orientation process. The specialist will also develop creative sourcing strategies and engage in community outreach to support the company's talent acquisition goals.

Requirements

• Experience in talent acquisition or recruitment processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies.
• Familiarity with recruitment management systems, preferably ADP RM.
• Knowledge of job descriptions and qualifications for blue-collar positions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in recruiting for the manufacturing or shipbuilding industry.
• Familiarity with college recruiting initiatives.
• Ability to negotiate offers of employment.

Responsibilities

• Engage in full scope of talent acquisition activities for non-exempt, blue-collar workforce.
• Recruit, interview, evaluate, and refer qualified candidates to hiring managers.
• Coordinate interviews, background checks, and paperwork for new hires.
• Facilitate the new hire orientation process for smooth assimilation into the organization.
• Identify and develop creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies.
• Attend job fairs and career fairs to promote job opportunities.
• Meet with hiring managers to discuss needs and identify sourcing strategies.
• Research and contact community services, colleges, employment agencies, and recruiters for applicant sources.
• Post job positions to appropriate internet sources and approved recruiters.
• Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and qualifications with managers.
