About The Position

Under direction from the Talent Sourcing Manager, the Talent Acquisition Sourcing Specialist at Black & Veatch partners with department recruiters in support of talent identification efforts for open positions throughout the company. This individual creates and executes compliant recruitment strategies for positions that have been specifically identified as requiring support from the Sourcing team. These efforts may be in support of high volume, aged, and/or hard to fill positions. Utilizing innovative sourcing techniques and leveraging a variety of technology platforms, the Talent Acquisition Sourcing Specialist is responsible for locating and engaging active and passive candidates that meet identified skill and experience gaps within the company. In support of Black & Veatch's mission to be a Top Talent Destination, the Talent Acquisition Sourcing Specialist is held accountable to providing an exceptional experience for all stakeholders, including external and internal candidates, business stakeholders, and their partners on the Recruiting team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years progressive HR experience in one or more functional areas
  • Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent experience
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and source candidates through a variety of technology platforms: LinkedIn, Job Boards, X-Ray searching, Networking, etc
  • Experience in monitoring key performance metrics and leveraging data to drive decisions and influence strategy
  • Extensive experience data mining various social media to identify candidate profiles
  • Demonstrated capability in engaging otherwise passive candidates through creative outreach techniques and messaging
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Prior recruiting experience, preferably in engineering or technical roles

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high-quality experience for all involved stakeholders rooted in consistent, meaningful communication practices
  • Build strong, supportive partnerships with recruiters in the development of strategic staffing initiatives
  • Source candidates through a variety of creative methods, including: a variety of social media tools, referral generation, industry contact lists, network generations, and other avenues
  • Initiate contact with passive candidates for openings and maintaining quality candidate pipelines
  • Demonstrate flexibility in solutioning talent needs outside of the core functionality of the position, if requested
  • Researching market conditions and industry trends as they relate to our competitors and educate internal stakeholders to facilitate quality decision-making, talent marketing outreach, and overall talent strategies
  • Using industry knowledge, social media sources, Technical Operations, and mission-focused knowledge to seek out potential candidates that may be currently employed at peer/competitor companies, and successfully identify candidates
  • Understand and operate within defined Talent Acquisition best practices as they relate to both strategy and compliance standards
